Eight pig producers from across Europe have won international awards for their innovation in pig production and have been awarded the title of EU PiG Ambassador.
They are the winning entrants of the Grand Prix, an annual competition designed to identify best practice on pig farms which is then shared with pig producers throughout the European network and beyond. This novel initiative is part of the EU PiG Innovation Group (EU PiG), of which Beta has a leading role.
Beta leads on the project’s dissemination activities. This includes developing a communications strategy, the project’s website and publication of end user material. Beta is responsible for transferring the best practice identified via EU PiG’s annual Grand Prix, into user friendly tools and materials targeted at pig producers across Europe, to showcase how industry challenges can be addressed.
